The Other Duck Dynasty Scandal

This lesson was originally preached October 27th 2013.  Some have used the word "scandal" to describe the preaching of the Duck Dynasty crew, in particular their teaching that baptism is essential to salvation. This should be interesting to us because (a) we share their view about baptism, and (b) it shows how strongly others feel about baptism not being necessary. In our lesson today consider the following scriptures and why we believe the "scandalous" (to some) idea that baptism is necessary for salvation.
